About

Deborah Shorindé (b. 1995) is a Nigerian artist and writer, raised in South London and Southern Ontario. She is a multi-disciplinary maker whose work is based heavily in sound and story. Through these mediums, Deborah explores the intersections between materiality, diaspora & radical community. The narratives she sculpts in her work are defined by a fiction that feels both surreal and true. Reflecting the complex landscape of black contemporary love, her work is an investigation into the future of tenderness.

Deborah works with various organisations as a producer, arts facilitator and story editor. She is currently developing both performance and longform content for release in 2024.
